PARTNERSHIPS - Accessibility
Partners are made aware of the conditions of access for people with disabilities to the services offered on this site and are encouraged to adopt measures that make their lives easier. Some of these partners are specialized in this subject and have been chosen as such.
Workplaces where desks can be adjusted in height either electrically (by simply pushing two buttons on the front) or manually (with a crank) are preferred.
Some worksites go further than the usual accessibility standards, for example by offering, on the same level as the entrance, an esplanade or an exterior forecourt, a training or meeting room, a lunch area and toilets.
With regard to visual disabilities, the availability of large screens that allow a projected document to be enlarged at will and from several different angles, as close as possible to each of the participants, is appreciated. The adjustment of the lighting intensity level is also a plus.
With regard to disabilities resulting from disabling illnesses, the provision of a closed office adjoining the main work room allows a person with a high level of fatigability to take a quiet break if needed.
With people with intellectual disabilities and their colleagues, active listening is preferred to assess their role in their company and learn what needs to be learned about them. Taking these conversations into account helps to avoid anxiety-provoking behavior. When a situation is not manageable without specific expertise, specialized organizations are called upon.
Following an awareness-raising exercise carried out by a partner entrepreneur in the communications sector, who himself has a hearing impairment, the importance of taking care in the presence of a hearing impaired person to articulate, slow down the flow and stand facing them has been integrated.
To support people with mental disabilities, experts specializing in this subject can be called upon.
